A village day around İslamlar and Bezirgân
Step away from the coast for a slower outing. A lunch in İslamlar, a short stroll around Bezirgân and plenty of time left for the villa.

A village day adds another side to a Kalkan holiday. The aim need not be to cover a long list of sights. A short walk, an unhurried meal and a relaxed journey back can be enough. Leave space to stop when something interests you and to finish early if the group needs a rest.
Start with a lunch around İslamlar
İslamlar is associated with trout restaurants; the Antalya tourism authority’s Kaş booklet includes the area’s trout businesses. That does not establish current opening hours or menus, so contact your chosen restaurant before setting off.
Decide whether breakfast or lunch will be the main meal rather than planning two long sittings close together. If travelling with children, ask about seating, steps and any suitable space around the table. Mention your group size and dietary preferences alongside a request for a view.
Keep the walk around Bezirgân manageable
Bezirgân is one of the plateau settlements around Kalkan. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s regional guide introduces it alongside nearby Pirha. You do not have to turn a village visit into a lengthy archaeological walk: a stroll near the centre and a tea break can stand on their own.
If you want to see traditional grain stores, ask locally about current access. An old building is not automatically open to enter. Respect homes, gardens and working areas, and ask before taking close photographs of people or private spaces.
A village outing is different from a Lycian Way hike
The official Lycian Way maps identify Üzümlü–İslamlar and Kalkan–Bezirgân–Sarıbelen as separate stages. A path on a map is not proof that it suits a casual lunchtime walk in light shoes.
If following a hiking route, plan distance, ascent, water, weather and the return separately. This suggested day is based on road transport and short stops around the villages. If you have not prepared for a trail, stay near the settlement rather than exploring an unfamiliar path on impulse.
A simple outline for the day
Spend the morning at the villa, then head out for lunch at a restaurant you have confirmed is open. Afterwards, decide whether the group would enjoy a short visit around Bezirgân. If the weather, roads or children’s energy suggest otherwise, leave the second stop for another day.
Avoid booking a very early dinner that turns the drive back into a deadline. A light meal at the villa or a quiet pool afternoon helps preserve the day’s pace. Water, comfortable shoes and a light extra layer are useful additions to the bag.
At lunch, clarify whether prices are per person or per portion and whether sides and drinks are included. Ask about alternatives for children or anyone who does not want fish. For a different evening back in town, see our Kalkan dining guide.
